🚍 Bath & Lacock 🆕

Bath City became a World Heritage Site in 1987. Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. Bath’s compact, the visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain, making it the ideal city break. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, and enjoy year-round festivals, theatre, music and sports. Bath’s stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture is straight from a Jane Austen novel – highlights include the iconic Royal Crescent and the majestic Circus. With so much to see, every visit to Bath will fill up your day with an unforgettable experience of different parts of the city.

“With its central grid of four streets, Lacock today looks much like it did 200 years ago. It’s oldest house is older than the thirteenth-century abbey but since the loss of the village’s main source of income from wool in the nineteenth century, new development has been minimal. There’s lots to discover in Lacock village; quaint traditional stone cottages, the old workhouse, the medieval tithe barn, the old lock-up, and the village church.” National Trust
