Bodiam Castle & Steam Train
We are waiting for a fascinating journey to the castle of Bodiam, and before that we will take a steam train from the station Tenterden (Day out with Thomas
). You can feel the connection of times and move into the past centuries. You will get out of modern times in those years when steam trains were used. Wonderful landscapes will flash past you – flowering fields, motley grass, blue sky. A real rural idyll, which is so lacking in city life.
From Tenterden we go to the ancient castle of Bodiam. It seems that it is floating, it is not clear at first sight, it is a mirage or a real fortification. It is completely surrounded by water. Feel yourself the founder of Edward Dalingridge or his wife. Feel once the former power, touch these walls, melting not one family secret. The stones of this castle do not know wounds, there have never been battles.
