Lavenham is a village in Suffolk, England. Today, it is a popular day-trip destination for people from across the country along. Lavenham prospered from the wool trade in the 15th and 16th century, with the town’s blue broadcloth being an export of note. By the late 15th century, the town was among the richest in the British Isles, paying more in taxation than considerably larger towns such as York and Lincoln.
In 2010, under conditions of strict secrecy, scenes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2 were filmed there.

At the age of 30, the future Lord Fairhaven began to create his first home.
