Durdle Door is a world-famous geological wonder, with its massive rock arch, set right on the Jurassic Coast between Swanage and Weymouth, just along the coast path from Lulworth Cove, it is absolutely beautiful. Durdle Door has a sloping beach for bathing or snorkeling from, caves and exciting rock strata. Only a short walk from Lulworth Cove and makes a nice place to have a picnic, sunbathe and go swimming, there was once a dolphin in the bay!
08:45 meet near Hotel Novotel London West, 1 Shortlands, W6 8DR (near Hammersmith Station); 09:00 sharp departure; 12:00 Lulworth Cove (one of the top 10 natural wonders in Britain). There are restaurants, pubs, shops and Heritage center for maps and information there; 14:00 optional walk with our tour manager from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door (30 minutes one way). There are no restaurants and cafes near Durdle Door but you can take your own BBQ or swim there near the shore. Bats Head is about 30 minutes from Durdle Door – you can walk there too. The tour manager tells where to go and walks with a slow group. You do not need to follow the group and can walk on your own; 17:00 departure from Lulworth Cove; 20:00 London, Hammersmith.
