Join us for a relaxing walk in the heart of Sussex in the valley of the River Arun, from Amberley to Littlehampton! Our route will take us through spectacular landscapes of the South Downs National Park past Arundel Castle with a history spanning nearly one thousand years.
We will begin our hike from Amberley station and will head south along the path beside the river. The first eight kilometres of the walk will be inside the South Downs National Park. We will pass the pretty village of Houghton, with its hills and wooded areas, and historic charming villages of South Stoke and Offham, with their amazing rural landscapes. Our route will then take us to Arundel Castle, where we will stop for a snack lunch.

Arundel has had a number of famous and influential owners and survived various epochs, wars and battles. For more than two hundred years, Arundel has been one of the most famous sights in England!
Passing the castle, we will continue through the ancient city of Arundel with its cosy streets, antique shops and numerous tea rooms and pubs. Well-preserved medieval buildings give the city a special look, and its picturesque location attracts numerous tourists.
