Travel times may vary depending on traffic & weather conditions and the fitness level of the group.
Day 1 – Crantock Beach to St Agnes Head:
Our journey will start at 2pm at Crantock Beach to the south-west of Newquay Bay. We will walk along the South West Coast Path towards Perranporth via the hidden beach of Porth Joke and then Holywell Beach with its amazing cave. We will make a short stop for refreshments in Perranporth and will continue our walk to St Agnes Head. To finish off our walk for the day, we are likely to be treated to a colourful sunset.
Day 2 – St Ives to St Just:
We will walk the 10-mile stretch between St Ives and Porthmoina Cove, which is arguably the most beautiful and certainly the most remote section of the entire coastal path. It is also one of the most strenuous. There are precious few opportunities for refreshments, but many steep descents and ascents. In reward, we will be treated to spectacular views of the craggy headlands, with buttresses of weathered stone dropping dramatically to an often restless sea. From Porthmoina Cove, we will travel by minibus to Pendeen, from where we will continue our walk towards Cape Cornwall through a patchwork landscape of tiny fields bounded by ancient stone walls and dotted with iconic mine chimneys and engine houses.
Day 3 – Land’s End to Lamorna Cove:
This is an arduous section of the coastal path but is nonetheless worthwhile for its spectacular scenery and rugged landscape. There is little in the way of civilisation throughout the entire route but the views are amazing with the natural wonders of the Longships Rocks, Gwennap Head, Logan Rock and so much more. We will start our walk at 9am from the most westerly point of the British mainland and will continue walking along the South West Coast Path towards Penzance. On our way we will pass magnificent Nanjizal Bay and Porthcurno Beach, Penberth Cove and Tater Lighthouse. We will finish our walk in the small fishing village of Lamorna where we will be picked up by our bus and taken to the next stop in Marazion. After lunch, there will be a chance to take some nice photos of St Michael’s Mount which will mark the end of our three-day Cornish journey.
